creative suite intensive course
This course is designed to demonstrate Adobe's creative software and contains topics relating to digital media basics, print, video and web publishing - which are delivered through a project based learning scenario. The course was developed with the Adobe certification platform in mind, providing trainees with a good pathway for accreditation via the Adobe Certified Associate (ACA) program for Photoshop, Dreamweaver and Premiere.
Course attendees will get exposure to Adobe Photoshop, InDesign, Acrobat, Premiere, and Dreamweaver as well as covering the basics about digital media. All this is wrapped into a project based learning method to deliver an engaging course specifically created for the K-12 Australian school curriculum.
project-based learning
Project based learning in this scenario is designed to allow teachers to experience the delivery of the project topic through a variety of digital media using a range of Adobe Creative Suite products.
Teachers can then utilise similar creative project based learning to achieve their particular syllabus outcomes.
Project based learning will give students the opportunity to learn tasks through researching information, communicating with experts, discussion with others and developing presentations in multiple media formats via non-traditional classroom teaching. Teachers and students will also benefit from learning creative skills, critical thinking techniques, technology literacy in class leading Adobe products and digital media.

- Classroom teachers, teacher librarians and public librarians develop activities, offer competitions and tell stories relating to a theme to highlight the importance of reading.
- Book Week has a broad reach involving all school years K-12 and often draws on the wider community including libraries and councils.
- Teachers often choose one or two books through which to express the Book Week theme, and this project provides a large creative scope for content and course material.
- The subject used for the project topic is the 2011 theme "One World, Many Stories".
